Donations Needed

We Need Some Financial Support. We operate on a pretty slim budget with no paid staff but we do have expenses. We’re breaking down how we spend your donations on the next few slides.

If we take money from our community we do our best to spend it in support of our community and with our community.

Water

Our biggest expense is water. We buy our water from Famous Ramona Water (Ramona, CA). We pay roughly
$1,000 for the Plates and Labels for 5 pallets worth of water upfront.

Then we pay Roughly $650 for each pallet of water. (prices go up with cost of materials and tariffs)

*we also buy unmarked water from retail stores in San Diego to hand out when we are not working with populations located directly in City Heights

Printing

We print all of our signage and pamphlets here in city heights at Inscriptu (42nd and University). We’ve recently had to reprint pamphlets with a new address due to the move in September.

Our Free Store, Swap and Community Fair will be closed for the month of September.

We’ll be taking the month off to tear down and rebuild in our new location. We’ll be posting updates about clearing out and the new space but won’t be able to reopen until October. We have loved every minute at our Fair@44 location. The community here has been truly amazing. We're excited to carry what we’ve built with us and build new community in a new location. We love you City Heights and we’ll see you in a month.

*please still stop by Stay True Cycle Works to pick up water to distribute. It’s been so hot and it helps so much.

November Schedule

I’d like to hand out water.
How do I get a Case?

Stay True Cycleworks (45th and University) has offered to help us distribute water during their regular hours of operation. Anytime they are open you’ll be able to stop on by and grab a case of water to distribute in City Heights.

Please be patient. They are doing us a huge favor and their customers come first. Thank you Stay True for all your support!

Volunteer with us!

We need outreach volunteers

We’re looking for more people that are able to hand out water to people living outside in City Heights. This would require you to pick up a case of water from us and hand it out to anyone that looks like they might be able to use some water. When handing out the water it’s helpful to mention that the bottle has a calendar of resources printed on it. You don’t need to canvas the whole neighborhood, just the blocks you’re used to walking. If picking up water from our water distribution center is located at Stay True Cycleworks. You can pick up a case during their hours of operation but please be patient. They are doing us a huge favor and their Customers come first.
