ON THE
LAST SATURDAY OF THE MONTH
FROM 10-2 AT POP-UP WINONA
WE HOST A CLOTHING SWAP AND INVITE OTHER ORGANIZATIONS TO SWAP WITH US OR TO DO OUTREACH WORK WITH US IN OUR COMMUNITY.
THE ONLY WAY WE'RE ABLE TO HELP PEOPLE OUT WITH CLOTHING IS THROUGH HOSTING THIS EVENT. BECAUSE OUR STORAGE SPACE IS SO LIMITED WE ASK THAT YOU ONLY BRING CLOTHING ON THE LAST SATURDAY OF THE MONTH. AFTER THE SWAP, WE WORK WITH OTHER CITY HEIGHTS ORGANIZATIONS THAT PROVIDE FREE CLOTHING TO THIER DIRECT COMMUNITIES.
BECAUSE THIS EVENT HAS SO MUCH INTEREST WE WANTED TO USE IT TO HELP BUILD STRONGER NETWORKS WITHIN OUR COMMUNITIES. IT’S BEEN A GREAT OPPORTUNITY TO BRING MULTIPLE RESOURCES OUT TO MEET OUR COMMUNITY.
THIS IS OUR BIGGEST EVENT OF THE MONTH.
Please only donate items in good condition
No Stains, Rips or Worn through Material
Please clean shoes and inspect the wear before bringing them to us. Please don’t donate items covered in animal hair.
YOU DON’T HAVE TO BRING ITEMS TO TAKE ITEMS
WE ARE HAPPY TO BRING YOU INTO THIS EVENT.
IF YOU HAVE AN IDEA FOR COLLABORATION WE’D LOVE TO HEAR IT, WE LOOK TO BUILD EVENTS AND PROGRAMS WITH OTHER
ORGANIZATIONS. SPECIFICALLY, BECAUSE WE ARE SO SMALL AND WE WANT OUR EFFORTS TO COUNT. WORKING WITH OTHER ORGANIZERS
AND COMMUNITY GROUPS HELPS US TO REACH MORE PEOPLE AND SECURE OUR EFFORTS INTO THE COMMUNITY. WE’RE A RELATIVELY NEW
ORGANIZATION WITH NO PAID STAFF. WITH THAT IN MIND, WE KNOW THAT OUR LONGEVITY ISN’T GUARANTEED AND THAT FORCES US TO
FOCUS OUR EFFORTS ON BUILDING PROGRAMS WITH COMMUNITY.
IF YOU’RE INTERESTED IN DOING OUTREACH WITH US, PLEASE REACH OUT.
WE’RE FOCUSED ON BRINGING RESOURCES TO CITY HEIGHTS AND WE WOULD BE
SO GRATEFUL FOR YOU’RE SUPPORT AND CONTRIBUTIONS TO OUR SHARED COMMUNITY
IF YOU’D LIKE TO SWAP ITEMS (CLOTHING, BOOKS, SEEDS, COMICS,
SOMETHING ELSE?), SEND US A MESSAGE, WE’D LOVE TO HAVE YOU!
WATER DISTRIBUTION
IF YOUR SCHEDULE IS LIMITED,
WE INVITE YOU TO JOIN US IN HANDING OUT WATER IN CITY HEIGHTS. THIS CAN BE DONE WHENEVER YOU HAVE TIME.
HOW IT WORKS:
GO INTO ANY OF OUR WATER DISTRIBUTION CENTERS DURING THEIR REGULAR BUSINESS HOURS AND TELL THEM THAT YOU’D LIKE TO HAND OUT WATER FOR WATER AND KINDNESS AND THEY WILL SIMPLY HAND YOU A CASE.
ONCE YOU PICK UP A CASE OF WATER, WE ASK YOU TO CARRY A FEW BOTTLES WITH YOU ANY TIME THAT YOU ARE WALKING AROUND CITY HEIGHTS. IF YOU SEE SOMEONE THAT LOOKS LIKE THEY COULD USE SOME WATER, ASK THEM IF THEY WANT SOME WATER AND HAND THEM A BOTTLE.
OUR WATER HAS RESOURCES
PRINTED ON THE LABEL.
